Not Me . . .

I'm back participating in MckMama's "Not Me Monday"!!! ENJOY!

{1} I definitely did NOT pack my purse full of popcorn, candy, fruit snacks and juice boxes to take to the movies for the kiddos. NOPE! I was a courteous patron who purchased all of my overpriced yummy snacks from the concessions before I went in to see my flick! Yes.. that’s exactly what I would have done! (However, I would have saved about $30… IF I had!)

{2} I, of course, being a good mother, get right out of bed when I know my kiddos are up. {of course!!} So, I most certainly would not have “pretended” to be asleep for almost an hour on Sunday morning while my husband was downstairs making breakfast! Gosh.. who would do that?! Although, Ethan was still asleep and LK was watching A Little Princess, I still would have been up helping my sweet hubby and making him coffee! I bet I could have gotten a lot of blogging accomplished though.. too bad I, of course, didn’t!

{3} I most certainly did not give our chocolate lab, Dixie, a Benadryl before bed last night because she has dry skin and her constant scratching kept me up ALL night the night before! No WAY! I would have been a little more sympathetic to her being uncomfortable and just dealt with the minor annoyance. Besides, Is it even healthy for animals to have medicines like Benadryl??? Since, obviously, I don’t know this… I would not have taken any chances in giving it to our sweet, loving, family pup! I’m sure she would have slept like a baby if I would have given it to her though!

Not Me . . .

Well, I've kinda taken a break from "Not Me" lately, but I'm back this week . . . Enjoy!

I most definitely did not let my sick child persuade me to go all the way to Kroger to get her a lunchable for lunch – because “that’s all she simply could manage to eat”! There is no way I would let that poor, pitiful face convince me to get her out of the house when she was so ill. Nope! Definitely not! She was surely upstairs, in bed.. watching Disney movies! (although that lunchable would have only been $1 – 10 for $10.. if I had!) And she definitely would not have had McDonald’s hotcakes just a few hours before!!

I definitely did not let Ethan stay up till 10:30 just because he was being SO good and was having the best time watching Alvin & the Chipmunks!! Nope.. bedtime is 8:15 sharp in our house! Even on the weekends!!

I most definitely did not call LK’s new school TWICE to leave a message for her teacher to call me back! I understand that the first week of school is incredibly hectic & overwhelming and my few little questions were just not of that much importance! So.. no.. I would certainly not have done that!

My two year old son (at least I think he’s human sometimes!) definitely did not burp ridiculously loud while out to lunch the other day! So loud that not only everyone at OUR table heard but also at other tables. Nope.. my children have WAY better manners than that!! And my husband and daughter definitely did not burst out with laughter at said burp either! No.. they would have definitely been much more horrified… like ME!

I was definitely NOT the mom, who at her child’s first soccer game, was constantly snapping photos while all the other parents sat annoyed at me and my camera flashes! Hey.. you should be taking your kids pictures too!!! Ever heard of a scrapbook?!

While at the grocery store, purchasing above lunchable, I definitely did not stop in the cereal aisle just to purchase a box of my favorite b/c I was craving it! (Cocoa Krispies, by the way!) Especially since our pantry is overflowing with half empty boxes of cereal already! Certainly not!

Not Me . . .

Today I am going to participate in MckMama's "Not Me Monday". Enjoy!!! (gotta love a Monday!)

{1} I did not skip out on my running schedule (in only week ONE) to instead go to Chili’s and eat a huge bacon cheeseburger and a drink a gallon of coke!! And I certainly did not also enjoy a half order of texas cheese fries too! There is no way I would already be neglecting my running training… no way! (but I bet it would have absolutely delicious had i eaten it!)

{2} I would never let my TWO year old son play with my VB card holder which contains my license and debit card.. no I would never do that! I certainly understand the importance of those two items, so I would always keep them far from where his little hands can reach. And since I would never allow this to happen, this is NO way he could have lost these two items! Nope.. not me! And since he didn’t lose them, then I certainly did not spend a week searching for my missing debit card all over the upstairs of my house! And I certainly did not have to go to Target and WRITE A CHECK, b/c I forgot about my missing debit card until all 500 of my items were scanned! There is absolutely no way I would ever let this happen!

{3} Speaking of searching for debit cards…. I most certainly DID NOT play in Photoshop while my sweet, sweet hubby searched Ethan’s entire room for MY card! No, I am WAY more thoughtful than that.. way more!

{4} I am certainly not the Mom who forgot her children’s lunches and did not realize it until we were unloading everyone from the car... at the school! No.. I am completely and totally way more organized than that! I mean, come on.. I am super mom.. I have got it together!.. didn't you know?! (lots of sarcasm!) And I certainly would not have called my husband to tell him to bring them to the school, since he was still at home with the lunches! No.. I would have just gone to the store and quickly gathered up what they needed and have done it all myself!

{5} I did not leave in the middle of LK’s cheerleading practice to drive over to J.Crew and Banana for a little “me time” shopping! I definitely sat there quietly for an hour like all the other wonderful mothers! (but I would have found some incredible deals.. if I had!)

{6} I most certainly did not allow my FIVE year old daughter give me a celebrity gossip update after she apparently watched Access Hollywood without my knowledge! I would have simply explained to her that we shouldn't stick our noses in other people's business and she shouldn't allow herself to become enthralled with such gossip at such a young age! I would have definitely not listed at all! However, if i had listed to her, she would have been able to give me the up-to-date on Jon Gosslin's new girlfriend and their coffee stop caught on film! And she would have also been able to give me all the details of Michael Jackson's funeral and will proceedings! She would have also sang a little bit of Thriller for us! ... that is.. only if I had!... which, of course, I did not!
