Santa came! {Christmas Morning 2013}
Chris and I were VERY excited for Christmas this year. We had some BIG plans in store for the kiddos! Christmas Eve we relaxed at home and got everything ready for Christmas morning. After the kiddos went to bed, Santa delivered all the gifts under the tree.
Gray had lots of goodies waiting for him… Firetruck, Firestation, and Firmen; Firetruck sheets; two Thomas train sets (with a firetruck); and a firetruck book! Doe you see a pattern here??!
LK had her usual American Girl stash, a VB backpack, monogrammed sweatshirt, and a sewing machine.
Ethan had a snowboard, skateboard, bow/arrow set, Star Wars sheets, and camo clothes. SO random and SO Ethan!
LK and Ethan also had their new own laptop waiting for them! And all 3 got new luggage (part of their big surprise!) and a Disney Inifiny!
Stockings were loaded with even more fireman gear, DS/Wii games, and even more fun stuff!
Christmas Morning came bright and early! LK and E were up around dawn, but of course, on the ONE day that we’re prepared to get up early, Gray slept in! Chris and I were just too excited to really sleep anyway!
Gray went straight to his fire station! I knew he would love it!
LK and E LOVED their laptop! They had been begging for weeks!!
Now, at this point, I’m sure the kids were wondering why they only had a few gifts under the tree. I fully admit that I go a little overboard at Christmas and the kids were probably thinking they had coal hidden somewhere. Poor kids. Little did they know.. Mommy and Daddy had been planning a HUGE surprise!!

Gray’s Christmas Program
I have to say that I was a little apprehensive about Gray’s Christmas program. He does not like crowds, he does not like people he doesn’t know looking at him, and he does not like attention from people he doesn’t know. So, basically, I was expecting a full meltdown on stage. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when he did GREAT! Now, he didn’t sing and he really didn’t lift his head much to look at the crowd, but he DIDN’T cry! I call that a success! He looked precious to boot!
Yep… not into it AT ALL!
His favorite part was the snacks after! ;)

Gingerbread House at CMOM
This past weekend, we went to the children’s museum to let the kids participate in some gingerbread house building. They had a really great time! With the crazy weather that we’ve had lately, it was really the first real “Christmas-y” thing we’ve been able to do!
SOO excited!!
Gray was way more interested in the candy than the actual house building!
Ethan was a fondant master!
I have to admit that the house almost defeated me! What is it with gingerbread houses??!
And this…. this is our 2013 Santa picture! This was as good as it got! Gray is NOT a fan of sitting on Santa’s lap!!! At this point.. I’ll take this pic!
He’s probably telling Santa that he wants a real life vampire bat! Yes, you read that correctly… a VAMPIRE BAT! WHAT??! Where does he come up with this stuff!! ha!
After building our house and visiting with Santa, we played in the museum for a while.
This dude.. my little maverick!
We had a great time at the children’s museum!! SO happy that we were finally able to do some Christmas activities!
