in deep thought . .

Today I came across a bible verse, that so simple in it’s meaning, actually says A LOT!

God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20

Well, it’s meaning is so simple and straight forward, however it had me in deep thought about my family. It is so true! God always has a plan for you and is able to do more than you could ever imagine. I mean, 4 years ago who would have thought that Chris and I would now be married (happily, I might add!) and also have another sweet baby together?! If you were to ask me back then, I would have said, “NO WAY!” (and maybe in not such nice of words! Ha!) But God knew… he always knew what was in store for our family and for the two of us! Thanks be to Him!

I feel truly blessed that God led Chris and I back to each other and has shown us a life full of love and happiness. When i look back now, it all seems as if it was someone else's bad dream! I am blessed with the most amazing husband and family-in-law that i could have ever asked for. I am so lucky!

Lately, we’ve been so busy in our “everyday” that I don’t think we’ve stopped to pay attention to the small things. So much is going on in our lives and I couldn’t be more thankful. God has truly given us more than we could have ever asked for!

Daddy Update – Chris has started a new job.. HORRAY!! He now works for Allied Crawford Steel in West Memphis. He is with their Inside Sales Dept. NO late nights.. NO weekends.. we have Daddy HOME! The kids and I couldn’t be more excited! :)He’s also going back to school in the fall! LK is really excited that she and Daddy get to do their homework together! Ha!

Lilly Kate Update – Well, Preschool is OVER! Can you believe it?! I have a Kindergartener! Yep… Kindergarten! ……. I suddenly feel as though I should be 40 and drive a minivan! (WOAH.. bad thought!) She’s slowly but surely becoming a Big Girl.. my baby no longer! :(

Ethan Update – E will be 2 on June 11! YIKES! Terrible twos are awaiting me.. I just know it! He is a constant handful and if we can make a whole day without a “boo boo” then it’s a major success!

Now on to me..

I have been super busy lately. It just seems like it’s one thing after another. With Chris’ new job, I am now officially on Mommy duty 24/7! I wake up, take the kids to school, work a few hours, pick them up… and that’s just the first half of our day! Whew! We are always running around, doing something! (I am envisioning a minivan again… scary!) I’ve also recently started designing and selling stationary and paper products through ETSY. It has really taken off A LOT faster than I was anticipating. I am up to my elbows in note cards, gift tags, address labels and custom invitations! I am absolutely loving what I am doing! (and the extra money!)

As a family we are really excited for the summer ahead of us! This will be our first summer in our new house, and we’re enjoying being in the garden and playing in the backyard! I have a whole list of “To-Dos” for the house for the summer! Lilly Kate has her dance recital tomorrow and we’re gearing up for Ethan’s birthday party!! (I like to do them up Big Time!) Chris and I are also headed to Atlanta next weekend for my best friend, Jennifer’s, engagement party!! It’s been so long since I’ve seen her and I am beyond excited!

Life is good and we couldn’t be happier! It’s true. I think I can speak for all 4 of us when I say that everything is fabulous right now! We’re in a happy place and really enjoying it all! :)
Thank you to everyone who makes our little world go round! You know who you are, and you know I couldn’t live without you (or at least live sanely!) Love you all!

And.. an update not about my family..
One of my dearest friends, Haley, and her husband are expecting Baby #2 on January 1st! We are more excited for you than words could say! We are praying for a smooth pregnancy and a happy healthy baby! (BOY!) :)

Congrats Geabhart Family! We love you!

Remember..

God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20

Show Us Where You Live: Lilly Kate's Room!

One of the blogs i follow (Kelly's Korner) does a weekly post titled "Show Us Where you Live Friday". She picks a "topic" and displays the room of choice every week. Then she asks her followers to participate as well. Well, I've never participated. Probably b/c my house is never clean enough to actually post pictures of it! However this week was perfect!! Kelly's topic today is "Children's Room and Nurseries"!! I showed a sneak peak of LK's new "Big Girl" room earlier this week and promised to show more pics soon. So... here you go!!

Show us Where you Live Friday... Lilly Kate's Big Girl Room!

A few things before you see the pics.. this is still a work in progress! One.. we still dont have her hot pink drapes up! Two.. her headboard is still not ready! The bed that's currently in the room was a daybead from Chris' parents house. It is temporary until Mommy makes the real headboard! So, just imagine a turqouise upholstered headboard!:)

an evening downtown..

Yesterday afternoon the kids and I headed downtown for LK's dance rehearsals. She did absolutely FABULOUS!! (and i'm not being bias.. really.. she's great!) :) She's super excited for her recital Saturday morning. The lighting was terrible to say the least and my camera just couldn't get it right, but here's a few pictures none the less.

After rehersals we met up with my brother, Ricky and sister, Lynsey for dinner! We walked down to Huey's and had a great time!!

Here's a few pics to build the anticipation!! :)

On Sunday, we packed up again and headed to Goo-Goo's house for some more fun in the pool! Sunday was a bit more cloudy, but the rain still held off for us. We had just a few showers, but the kid's loved swimming in the rain!!

We ended the weekend with lots of fun at Chris' parents house! (Noni & Papa). The kids got to play in the kiddie pool and the big pool. They had so much fun! Aren't they so lucky that all they're grandparents have swimming pools!? :) Never a dull summer day for these two!

what a fun weekend!

Our fun-filled Memorial Day weekend started out with a gathering with our friends Haley & Blake. They invited us over for a day of swimming and grilling! Luckily, the rain held off just long enough to get some great sunshine and pool time! :) The kids had a blast, as this was their first time in the pool for the year. Ethan is finally able to swim by himself (with a life jacket and swimmies of course!), so we all just had loads of fun! Huge thanks to Haley and Blake for having us over!

We got to hang out with the Murphy's too! Mommy, Kelley.. Daddy, Brandon and SWEET baby Payten!! She's adorable and I really enjoyed getting to love on her! :)

Ethan was finally able to get in the water by himself!!! (with a little help from Big Sister, of course!) :)

YAY!! He's swimming!! :)
