Gobble, Gobble!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! It started Wednesday afternoon with myself and the kids taking late afternoon naps! It was wonderful!! I was also able to get my broccoli and cheese casserole ready for Thursday. Once Chris got home and we had dinner, everyone went down pretty easy again for the night. Chris and I were even able to relax on the couch with a bottle of wine and watch the movie Savages. It was….. interesting! ha!

Thursday morning, we got moving bright and early to start heading to all the places that we needed to visit. First on the list was Nana and Papa’s house for brunch. Nana put together a yummy brunch and it was great to see everyone!

After Nana and Papa’s, it was time to stop by the Hunt house. We visited with Ricky, Sally, and Lynsey for a little while before heading to Grams.

He’s SO ready for a big hunt with Uncle RP!

Our final stop of the day was Gram’s house. Grams always cooks the traditional turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie! ALWAYS look forward to it!!

Thursday night, Grams convinced me to go Black Friday shopping! She wanted to go to Target for a few things. So… there we were at 8pm standing in line for the 9pm opening. Luckily, the weather was still nice outside and the line wasn’t awful at all! We got in right at 9 and everything moved extremely smoothly. We got the items that we wanted (yes, I gave in and decided to purchase a few “needed” items too!) ;) and were out in 20 min! It took longer to get coffee from Starbucks than it did to comb the store and checkout! It was fun to be able to spend the time with Grams though. We had a wonderful time!!

Friday we ran a few errands and then called it a weekend. Unfortunately all the kiddos were coming down with sinus garbage and were NOT feeling well! So.. we stayed in for the rest of the weekend. Luckily I picked up Brave and Madagascar 3 from Target Thursday night. So we watched them OVER and OVER!

The boys ended up staying home from school on Monday.. not to mention that Gray was up at 3AM! After a quick trip to the doctor to rule out an ear infection, we were holed up inside again. Today seems to have everyone mending their runny noses. Thank Goodness!!!

We’re spending the rest of this week getting all ready for Christmas. Daddy goes back out of town for 2 weeks, later this week. So we’re trying to get everything around the house ready for Christmas. Busy, busy week!!

Avengers at the Zoo!

Last weekend was Daddy’s first weekend home in about 3 weeks. Of course, it meant that we were jammed packed with activities. We started Saturday with family pictures, then Ethan and I headed out to a birthday party for a classmate. It was at a new play area in Germantown called Kid’s Play. A friend of a friend owns it and I was pleasantly surprised with how fun it was!! Ethan had a great time and all the kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. After the party, we came home to get the rest of the bunch and then headed to the zoo. The zoo was hosting a “zooperhero weekend” complete with the Avengers! We just had to take Ethan! Not to mention that they had all the lights around the zoo lit for “Zoo Lights”. We didn’t get to partake in the ice skating and ferris wheel since we had Gray with us, but we have big plans to head back soon for that!! The lights were very pretty though and we did get a peek at Santa’s reindeer, Dancer and Dasher.

What a great time!!!

On Sunday, Aunt Lynsey and Uncle RP came over for family dinner. November 15th is Uncle RP’s birthday and November 1st is Chris’ birthday, so we had to get together to celebrate both.

After dinner, Uncle RP and Ethan played the hunting game on the Wii. Ethan was getting quite disappointed with RP’s shooting skills! ha! He eventually got a few coyotes and bears though.. so that made up for it! ;)

We had a wonderful weekend! We were so excited to have Daddy home!!!

These are actually from a few weekends ago when LK had her end of the year Cheer party! The girls got together for pizza and trophies! They always love getting to goof off together. I can’t believe that this season is already over!!! Can’t wait for next!

I am WAY behind on posting (of course!), and let's face it.. I probably wont get caught up until after Thanksgiving. I just had to post this though..
