One Busy Mama..

Here are some of the sweet things I've been working on for Baby Gray! I still have a few more onesies and bibs to complete, but those are kind of on the back burner right now so I can make sure that I have everything else ready to go for him.

I absolutely loved making these sweet layette bibs for him! He's going to look precious! I didn't get a picture but I added the sweetest blue sailboat buttons to them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these gowns!! Newborn gowns have to be one of my most favorite things on Earth! These turned out just wonderful! I ordered these and the plain white bibs (top picture) from a "blanks" site online. (the onesies are Target brand and the burp cloths are the nice, thick Gerber ones also from Target)

I'll try to share more as I do more for him. I was lucky enough to be given an entire set (0-3, 3-6,6-9, 12mo) of onesies, so as he grows I'll be able to make him some adorable things!

37 Weeks & Land of Boys!

I have FINALLY made it full term!! I can't believe it! I am happy to report that Gray is VERY low, I am 2-3 centimeters dialated and 70% effaced... We are in the home stretch! My doctor is ready for me to deliver so she tried her best to "get things going" today! ;) So hopefully we will be having a sweet little baby any day now. If he decides to hold out then I've been scheduled for my induction. So, either way I have a definite date of when i will NOT be pregnant anymore! ha! We are hoping he decides to make is presence this weekend. What better than a July 4th baby??!

I tried to take a quick pic after my appointment today... it's terrible! I'll have to wait to C gets home and take another one! :)

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 37 Weeks 1 Day
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 pounds
Size of Baby: He weighed just over 7 1/2 pounds today
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes! I'm down to just a few things that fit.
Best Moment this week:  Knowing that Baby G will be here at anytime!
Gender: It's A Boy! Gray Davis Stickles
Movement: Yes.. not so much sudden movement, more just big rolls and flips. He has officially taken every single bit of room I have available!
Food Craving: Nothing.. well, everything. This Gestational Diabetes diet is for the birds!
What I miss: Sleeping!! I dont think I've had more than 2-3 hours for almost a week now!
Sleep: Not sleeping!!
What I am looking forward to:  Gray making his much anticipated appearance!!
Belly Button: It is SO out!
Symptoms: I am extremely tired and I have no energy. I'm having alot of BH contractions and ALOT of pressure really low.

Look at this sweet face!!! He's going to look just like his older brother! :)

He has the cutest pouty lips!

I have been nesting like crazy! The boys' room is finally complete and I'm happy to share.. Initially I was very uncertain about the boys sharing a room. But after reading lots of blogs and articles about how great it is for brothers to share rooms, I am now really looking forward to it! Besides, they're room turned out GREAT!! We were able to use Ethan's nursery furniture and bedding and everything tied in so nicely. I still have a few picture frames to get and some new drawer pulls, but that's not a necessity right now.

We are packed!! Those are Gray's bags and boppy in the crib.

I was able to find some letters that matched Ethan's old letters perfectly!

We also got around to hanging LK's paintings in the bathroom! SO CUTE!!

I just LOVE their bathroom!

We're going to have to add another handprint to the "family tree"! :)

In the next few days we are going to be busy getting neverything 100% complete. The kiddos (and me!) need a good hair trim and I am in desperate need of a brow wax before I am getting hospital visitors! ha! I also need to do one last good clean before we go to the hospital and finish up all the laundry. (maybe all that extra activity will help get me in labor too!!) :)

I will keep y'all updated on Gray's progress!

Occupying our days..

We really haven't been up to much around our house lately. I've been feeling more and more tired everyday.. not to mention that I am NOT sleeping! AT ALL! It's terrible! Hopefully Gray will be here very soon!!!! We've been doing alot of last minute household projects that we wanted/needed to get completed before G makes his appearance and Chris has been so wonderful to indulge me in crossing things off my never ending list. Bless that sweet man! I've also been busy finishing up the last of my newborn embroidery projects.. just 2 more onesies and 2 more bibs!

We've really been trying to keep the kiddos entertained as much as possible and spend a lot of time with them before bringing home a new sibling. Chris and Ethan finally got around to building a bird house kit that E got for Christmas. Grams got him a set from Lowe's that included real power tools and a kit to build. He's been begging for a while now, so Chris finally sat down with him to do it. It was adorable to watch. Ethan was so attentive to what Chris was doing.

Chris explaining to him the fine art of NOT hammering someone's fingers! ;)

He was SO happy!! Now they just have to paint it!! E, of course, picked out royal blue and white craft paint!

The other day I took them to Michael's and let them pick out lots of art and craft supplies to keep them busy after Gray comes. I think we were in the store for over an hour!! That's just too much temptation for small children! ha! They got lots of great things though and are already having fun with it all!

This is just random, but was hilarious... nothing better than a mix of Batman, Darth Vadar and Robin Hood!

This past weekend we really did nothing! More house stuff and cleaning. I am happy report though that we are about 99% ready for Gray! Chris and E did yard work Saturday morning while LK and I did inside chores. I caught a glimpse of C showing E how to mow the yard.. precious!

After the grass was mowed, it was time to give Huck a bath..

We are all ready for our new baby brother! The house is ridiculously clean, Huck is smelling fresh and looking fluffy and all our projects are now complete! I've been lying on the couch or in bed for the past few days b/c my energy level is non-existant and the kiddos have been enjoying swimming at Noni and Papa's. Chris even got to hang out with a bunch of friends Saturday night to hear another friend's band. I will try to do my 37 (FULL TERM!! YAY!!) post tomorrow and finally reveal the completed boys' room.

Hopefully we'll be doing a "Welcome Gray" post in the next week or so!!

Father's Day Weekend {2011}

I have to say that we had a pretty great Father's Day Weekend! It was super busy, but we enjoyed every minute of it! We started off the weekend with dinner and errands on Friday night, which turned into a certain newly 4yr old coming home with his very own BIG BOY bow and arrow set!! He has been wanting a real one for forever (to be just like Uncle Ricky) and we finally gave in and got one for him as his birthday gift. I think I'm still in a little shock that I actually let Chris purchase it! My baby.. with such a big boy toy.. SAD! I dont think I've ever seen him smile so big though and he's already itching to go to Uncle Ricky's house to practicing shooting the "fake deer"! ha!

Look at that smile!!
Of course, the boys had to try it out as soon as they got home. There's no telling what our neighbors were thinking!!

We spent most of Saturday morning doing housework. I've been desperately trying to finish household chores before Gray comes. So, while Chris and E did yard work, I got busy doing some hard cleaning! I got to the baseboards, the windows, the blinds.. you know, all the stuff that doesn't get done weekly. It was long overdue and I'm not confident that Gray wont have an allergy attack from all the built up dust when he comes home! ha! ;) I also got around to cleaning the hardwood floors and they are SO pretty and sparkly!! If anyone needs a good floor cleaner for real hardwood, I highly recommend that Orange Glo Cleaning system.. it really does work!!

I cleaned out LK's closet and let me tell you.. Addyson is going to be one well dressed little girl when she can fit into a size 5/6!! I dont know how many J.Crew, Gap and Lilly Pulitzer outfits I put in a bag for her! It almost just made me sick to my stomach thinking about how much money was spent on her clothes that she probably only wore.. OH... ONCE! Oh well! (and no doubt, guess what I did today.. I was back on the J.Crew website stocking her back up with essentials!! Seriously.. I have issues!) ;)

After we were finished we headed to Lowe's for some items that we needed and also to let Daddy go on a little tool shopping spree! He technically already got his big gift a few months ago (the kayak), but we still wanted to get him a little happy.. so new tools it was! He was a happy man!

Sunday, LK and I had a special day.. I know, I know.. it was Father's Day, but SOMEONE (ME!) bought tickets to Beauty & The Beast and didn't realize that it was Father's Day! OOPS!! Luckily, Chris didn't mind and we agreed to meet downtown for dinner after the show. LK was SO excited! She's been to the Orpheum to see movies before, but never a Broadway show. I was SO happy to take her! April and Addyson went with us and we all had a great time.
My baby is getting so grown-up!

I officially woke up Sunday morning with swollen feet! HELLO 36 weeks!! I seriously have not been swollen up to this point, so it was a little devastating. I no longer have normal toes or ankles.. I have big puffy marshmallow toes and ankles. They are SO attractive, I assure you!

The girls absolutely LOVED the performance! It was so good!! I've seen it before and loved it, so I just knew that they would enjoy it.

After the show, we met Chris and Ethan for dinner. We decided to go to Flying Fish b/c the kids always enjoy it and they have crawfish & oyster platters for Chris. It was, of course, delish! After dinner we made a stop at YoLo when we got back to East Memphis... YUMMY!!

Enjoying his oysters!

We really had a great weekend and Chris really enjoyed all his Father's Day goodies! Now we are just counting down the days till Gray decides to come! The "To Do" list is dwindling down and we are so ready for him!! I think everyone was exhausted on Sunday night though!! As Huck can show you....

Today we got an early start to drop LK off at her summer camp at The Racquet Club! She looked adorable and was very excited!! Of course she had to get a new tote bag (I think I may have passed down my handbag obsession! YIKES!!) and new outfits. She had a really great time though and can't wait to go back tomorrow!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!
