Jax’s Wedding Shower

Last weekend, Jackie’s sister held a bridal shower for her. She did a wonderful job!! It was great to see Jax and catch up. I can’t wait till her bachelorette party in a few weeks and the wedding in August!

Theater Camp!

Last year, LK did a week long summer camp at Theater Memphis. She loved it! As soon as it was over, she immediately asked to do it again. Ethan even asked to go. So, as soon as I got the email about it this year, I signed them up. They were both really excited about it!

This year’s theme was Shel Silverstein poems. They were split up into groups and each group had different poems that they had to learn by weeks end. Each child ended up with 2-3 poems each. They have to participate in every aspect of putting on a stage production. Sets, painting, sound, scripts, parts.. everything! LK was cast in 3 poems and E was cast in one poem and one song. We were all so excited to see the final production on Friday.

Look at that smile!!! He did GREAT!! All lines learned and right on cue! SO proud of him!!!

There was one song in the entire production. It was a Johnny Cash song. “Boa Constrictor”. Shel Silverstein wrote the poem and Johnny Cash recorded it. And, if you know anything at all about our family, you know that LK and E are HUGE JC fans! When Ethan came home on Monday with his scripts to learn, we discovered that he was cast as what else.. Johnny Cash! He was beyond excited!! LK was beyond jealous!:)

LK was cast in three poems. She, of course, did wonderful and was a great little actress. She lights up on stage!

Their show was great!!! I can’t wait to get the DVD so that we can watch it again!

They had a small reception after the show.. so sweet! Of course, the entire family came out for the performace!

I absolutely ADORE these two kiddos!! So proud to be their Mom! We are already looking forward to next year!

Ethan turns 6!!!

So, after last year’s birthdays (Ethan – 5 and Gray – 1), we decided that we would do one birthday celebration for the boys. With their birthdays being only about 3 weeks apart, it just doesn’t make sense to have separate parties. That was the plan for this year, at least! I even started planning a joint party and started ordering supplies. That’s until Ethan went to his friend, Thomas’ birthday party. Thomas had his birthday party at Crossfire. We had never been and it was awesome! I should have known that when you had to put on a harness at the beginning of the party, that Ethan would love it! He did! As we were walking out of the door, he was already asking to have his birthday party there. So, of course, I caved and booked him a party! That meant that all of the supplies and planning I had done for the join party had to become a party for Gray. So, you guessed it.. TWO parties! ha! I guess there’s always next year! ;)

I kept the party very low key though and just had cupcakes and fruit for party snacks. He invited a few friends and had a great time!!! Crossfire is the coolest place for boys to have a birthday! I didn’t take pics while they were in the activity room, but they did. I have a CD that I’ll have to post of those pics. Here are the pics I took in the party room.

Sweet friends! He is so NOT like his sister! She would have a had a list a mile long of friends she wanted to invite. Ethan, on the other hand, only had a list of 5! Such a boy!

So happy for my sweet boy! He had a great time turning six years old. His birthday gift was a go-kart! I’ll have to post a pic of him riding it when I post the other pics from the party! He was so surprised to get it!! He LOVES to go fast!!!
