SkyZone!!!

SEVERAL weeks ago, like almost two months ago (HAHA!), we took Ethan and Gray to SkyZone. LK was spending the day shopping with Chris’ mom and sister for her birthday. We had a blast at SkyZone! I’m pretty sure that Chris and I just as much fun as the boys!!!

They had an area set up just for the little ones, so that they could run around and jump without having to worry too much! Great idea!!

Locks of Love

The weekend before LK’s birthday, she made a HUGE decision to cut off all of her hair! For almost a year now, she’s been growing it out with the intention of giving it to Locks of Love. Honestly, I didn’t think that she’d really cut it! I mean, I know that I would have chickened out! ha! I am SO proud of her!!! I am so blessed to be this little girl’s mom! She is such a sweet, brave soul!

10 inches are on their way to give another little girl a head full a beautiful hair! What a great organization Locks of Love is!!

And don’t worry, LK loves her new look! I was extremely nervous that she’d hate it and cry for days, but she has really embraced it! She’s already talking about growing it out again for Locks of Love!

St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

This year, the boys school participated in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. They even had the camera team from St. Jude there to document it for the ad campaign. SO FUN! Gray was too little to participate, but Ethan’s class did! He had a ball!!

They had Pastor Jay and Pastor Adam join in on the fun too! The church members gathered up “winning donations” (NOT bets! ha!) on who they thought would win! It was so much fun! The kids loved it and cheered them on!!

Adam took right off, but Jay had to get a little help from Ms. Cathy. Too funny!

Growing up and living in Memphis my entire life, and having several friends that have literally fought for their lives within those walls, puts St. Jude very close to our hearts! We are blessed to have such a wonderful institution in our little city of Memphis! It is filled with some of the most wonderful, caring, and courageous people that you could ever imagine!! Hooray for St. Jude! And, HOORAY for GPP for all their hard work with the Trike-A-Thon and all the money they were able to raise!!

Celebrations

This year, LK’s birthday seemed to last for forever. (she seems to have a way of doing that!) ;) On her actual birthday, we celebrated with dinner at home along with cake and ice cream. Earlier in the day, I took cupcakes and Chick Fil A up to school for lunch. It was such a treat to be able to eat lunch with my girl. I know all too soon she will be all too cool to have mom come to school! It was so wonderful to see all the different kids and teachers coming up and wishing her a happy birthday! She has so many sweet friends!

LK also had a very special treat from Daddy! He had flowers delivered to school!! She was beaming! Daddy is so good! ;)

LK’s birthday gift this year was a date night with Mommy to go see Mary Poppins at the Orpheum. It was AMAZING!!! I was so happy that we went to see it! I have to say that no matter how old you are, you still get chill bumps every time Mary Poppins floats in with her umbrella! We had a wonderful time!! Love my sweet girl!
