Tuesday morning, we were able to sleep in a little. We had planned to spend the morning at Downtown Disney so that the kiddos could shop. I wont go into detail about how much spending money they ended up with, but I will tell you that we didn’t have to spend a single penny on their souvenirs! GRANDPARENTS ARE AWESOME!!! Now, don’t get me wrong.. we bought stuff for them. But, all the random, “OHHH MOMMY… I HHAAAVVVEEE to have it!” things… ALL them!
We got there just before all the shops opened. The weather was incredible.. perfect for outdoor shopping!
Once Upon A Toy.. such a great store! And a super fun front entrance!!
The first thing you saw when you walked in the door was this “Build A Potato” Station! They had parts to make every Disney character you could imagine! You could mix and match and put all your parts in a box. The box was $20 no matter how many things you stuffed in it! If it fit, then it was yours!
LK made a Tinkerbelle potato and Ethan got a Yoda potato!
They also had a Light Saber Building Station. We had to bribe Ethan to get him to walk away from this. He just wanted to stay there and build one right after the other!!
Face Painting.. $5 a child.. Do you think we said NO?? NOPE! Only “Yes” answers in Disney World! :)
The World of Disney store.. HUGE! (oh.. and Stitch spit water on you when you walked by!)
Chewbacca hat??? SURE! :)
LEGO STORE!!!!! We spent FOREVER in here!!!! I bet if Ethan tried to imagine what his Heaven looks like… it would look like this!
They had stations set up to play with legos
G was happy playing with his Roo.
We had lunch at T-Rex. Think Rainforest CafĂ©, but with dinosaurs… AMAZING!!!
There were life size dinos all over. Every 20 min there was a “meteor shower” It was so fun! I took a video.. I’ll have to do a post with all the videos that we took.
We sat in the fire room. All the meteors exploded on the ceiling above us.
ice cave room.. it changed colors
HUGE aquarium
The dinosaurs were so life like!
After lunch, we walked around a little more. LK spotted a booth with pearls. They had live oysters that you could buy and then split open to get your very own pearl. Of course she convinced her Daddy to let her get one!!
picking her oyster
her pearl! it was almost an 8mm! she picked a good one!!!
so happy!!! we had it set so that she’ll be able to wear it as a necklace.
After walking around for a while, we made our way back to the buses and went back to the room. Chris took LK and E swimming again while I stayed in the room with Gray. I had intentions of getting him to take a good nap, but he had other plans! He wanted to play in the room.
He found his brothers stash of goldfish and LOVED them!
Then he passed out!!
The rest of the bunch came back to the room and we all got ready to spend our evening in Epcot! We had such a fun morning of shopping!!!
