Sew Crazy!

This week, I've just been on a sewing frenzy! I was at HobLob and found some really cute material on sale, so I decided to finally make Ethan that extra nap mat that he's needed for school. I also got some material and a pattern to make shorts, pants and capris for the kiddos.

Here is E's nap mat. I didn't have a pattern, so it's all freehand. It turned out pretty cute... although, it will probably fall apart in a week or two! haha!

he's gotta have the attached pillow! ha!

And, LK's capris! They are SOO cute! I just love this material!! THey look adorable on her! I meant to take a pic of her wearing them, but didn't! :( maybe next time!! Her sweet teacher even sent a note home asking me to make a pair for her! lol

I just love how these shorts turned out for Ethan! They're so lightweight and he just loves them! I'll definitely have to make several pairs of these!!

On another note.. LK's Easter garden is growing like crazy!!! Her seeds have already sprouted. I think we're going to have to move them into bigger pots this weekend! She is so excited! Ethan's watermelons, on the other hand, are not growing. I dont know much about growing watermelons, so I dont know if this is normal or not. We may have to secretly switch his out for something that does grow fast!! ;)

their windowsill home..

(and yes.. that is wood putty on the windowsill! huck has decided to chew up the kitchen window sills, so this is our feebile attempt at repairing them! we'll see how this goes and will probably have to hire a contractor to come replace them! (sigh!) why do labs chew EVERYTHING?!)

This week, the weather has been gorgeous... although, already in the 80's! YIKES! I hope this doesn't mean that the summer heat is going to be even hotter than usual! Memphis has HORRIBLE humidity, so this could be bad!! Real bad! Luckily, a few thunderstorms last night cooled thigs off a little today and washed away the ridiculous amounts of pollen everywhere! (hello allergies!) We dont have much planned for this weekend, so we're looking forward to a lot of playing and hanging out outside!

I love the Easter garden! That looks like tons of fun for the kids to watch things grow and sprout!
