be patient and keep praying . . .

Yesterday morning as I was about to walk into church, I received an email from one of my best friends. She was informing all us girls (our little friend group) about some things that were going on in her life and asking for our support and prayers. I wont go into detail about what exactly is going on in her life, b/c I doubt she'd want me to blab all the personal details for the whole world to see! ;) But, I will tell you this.. she is currently pregnant - due Jan 1st - and also has a 2 year old little girl. She is facing something that is scary and uncertain and my heart literally breaks for her. Right now I am praying not only for her strength during this time, but I am also praying that I can find the right words to say to her and the right things to do for her. I am asking you to help me. Send up a special prayer for her tonight and ask God to be with her during this scary time, to show her that he loves her and will never give her more than she can handle! Pray that I will be the kind of friend that she needs right now, that ALL of us will be the kind of friend she needs. Ask God to watch over this precious baby still growing inside of her. I'm sorry that I can't share the details with you, but know that even without them, you are helping her one prayer at a time. As I think think about her and what she's going through, I keep reading Romans 12:12 - "Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying." I guess that's all I can really do at this point.. be patient and keep praying!
